Pastoral ministry is a sacred calling that requires deep biblical understanding, theological discernment, and a heart committed to Christlike service. A pastor is not only a preacher or administrator. A pastor is also a shepherd, a servant-leader, and a theologian. Each role carries unique responsibilities. As Paul David Tripp reminds us, “Pastoral ministry is not about skillful performance. It is about a life shaped by the gospel. This life is lived out in the daily realities of shepherding God’s people (Tripp, Dangerous Calling). This module will explore these foundational aspects of pastoral ministry. We will ground each aspect in Scripture. We will also rely on the wisdom of faithful teachers from the past and present.
